This diptych reveals an intimate portrait of the artist as a child in his home where he grew up. This photograph was taken by Nedim's father when he was 4 years old. The artist then digitally removed himself from the setting creating a very quit composition. The relationship of these photographs magnifies the innocence and bliss of his childhood against the black and empty landscape that his homeland has become. These photographs express his longing for his home prior to being stripped of its identity.
